SACRAMENTO – Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City) issued the following statement in response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address:
“Under one-party Democratic rule on the state and federal level, Californians are worse-off in just about every aspect of their lives. Our cities are more dangerous, our paychecks don’t buy as much, our ports are backlogged, our water is rationed, and more and more of our neighbors have been left to live on the streets.
“In the face of increasing aggression from our global rivals, it’s more important than ever for America to pursue a strategy of peace through strength. We must restore our economy. We must continue to build our military. And we must become energy independent.
“Californians could once again feel safe in their communities and confident in their ability to afford the necessities, but only if Democrats have the courage to change course and move away from the failed policies that put us in this position.”
