SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City) issued a statement in response to emerging details in the state budget bills:
“As we get the details of this year’s massively bloated budget, we see the ridiculous priorities of the Capitol Democrats that include diversion of funding away from jails towards programs that will continue the early release of dangerous criminals.
“People are struggling through the worst inflationary period we have seen in a generation. The answer from the Democrat supermajority is to drive the cost of everyday goods up while putting criminals back on the streets.”
