Gallagher Statement on Projected Budget Deficit

SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City) issued the following statement on the Legislative Analyst’s Office projection that California is facing a $58 billion deficit over the next two years:

“Republicans have been warning for years that Democrat overspending would drive our economy over a cliff. Now here we are, facing a $58 billion deficit. This deficit is just one more proof point (in addition to the crime, homelessness, poverty and U-Haul shortage) that Democrats are in over their heads.”
